Oréda Boussadia, Ph.D., MBA

SPEAKER & ORGANIZER

Corporate visionary and executive leader in marketing and business with two decades of experience in global biotech and health tech companies, which provide access to technological platforms to support drug developers in accelerating their innovations.

Oréda partners with companies such as Charles River, Taconic, Eurofins, Concept Life Science, Batavia Biosciences, Epivax, and many startups that need to strengthen the management of the company’s growth and performance. Since 2012, she has decided to support companies by being a business angel at Angelor, Lyon, France. For many years, Oréda has been an external marketing and business expert at the CNRS Innovation and the European Innovation Council, supporting company creation and start-ups as an advisor and mentor.

She obtained an executive Design Thinking and Agile Methods certificate at the ESSEC Business School and an Executive MBA at IFG Education. Before joining the industry in 2001, she spent ten years as a researcher at the Max-Planck-Institute für Immunbiologie und Epigenitik in Freiburg, Germany, and Gustave Roussy Institute in Paris, France, where she defended her Ph.D.

After 25+ years of leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies (Eli Lilly, Merck (MSD), Novartis, Sanofi, and Terumo), Kasia now helps healthcare, life science, and digital health organizations de-risk launching new products, reach strategic goals, achieve sustainable growth, create leading brands, and scale up their organizations by developing innovation capabilities and applying a systematic innovation management process. She increases the odds of successfully bringing life science innovations to the market, aiming to improve patient outcomes, social impact, and organizations’ performance. In addition to her advisory, co-founder, and fractional executive roles at startup companies, Kasia is deeply committed to fostering innovation. She serves as a mentor in incubators and accelerators, sharing her expertise and guiding the next generation of healthcare innovators.

Kasia graduated as a medical doctor and completed her residency in psychiatry at the Medical University in Wroclaw, Poland. She founded Abante Scientific (www.abantescientific.com), is board-certified in AI in Medicine, and has been an Innovation 360 Licensed Practitioner since 2023.

Djomangan Adama Ouattara, Ph.D.

Djomangan Adama OUATTARA is CEO and cofounder of Gencovery (Lyon, France), which ambitions to revolutionize R&D and productivity in digital life sciences. Adama holds a PhD in Electrical engineering from Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France).

Over the last 15 years, he worked as computational scientist and leader in several organizations (e.g.: Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium, CNRS in France, The Bio-Intelligence program led by Dassault Systèmes in France). Its core expertise encompasses software engineering, artificial intelligence and in silico modeling of complex biological systems (systems oncology, toxicology, bioartificial organs, systems metabolomics, digital twin of cellular metabolism).

After leading the bioinformatics group in the Technology Research Institute BIOASTER at Lyon (France), Adama cofounded Gencovery in 2020 with a purpose to disrupt digital life sciences. Gencovery is developing and providing Constellab™, a leading digital infrastructure to get rid of data silos by hyper-connecting, consolidating data to unlock its full potential at all stages of their value chains of companies and organizations.

Philippe Tramoy

Philippe has been working in life sciences with wide-ranging responsibilities for over 25 years. He started research on a gene linked to leukemia and programmed cell death (apoptosis). He worked four years for a U.S.-based contract manufacturing organization (CMO), acquired by Rhodia (now Solvay), as a Business Development Manager for the EMEA region. Later, he founded and managed a market and business intelligence company with offices in France, Switzerland and Israel. He is a Partner for a Deep Tech fund at one of the European leaders in venture capital, financing start-up companies in the field of digital technologies and life sciences linked to academic and university institutions in France such as Sorbonne University, University of Paris IV, National Museum of Natural History, IRCAM, ENSCI, CNRS and Curie Institute. He is also a board member of life science companies such as Pep-Therapy, CryoCapCell, Scipio Biosciences, and Aenitis Technologies.

Philippe has a Master’s in Biochemistry (University of Burgundy), a Master’s in Immunology and Molecular Biology (Ecole Normale Supérieure Lyon), a Master’s in Finance (IAE Paris-Sorbonne) and a Master’s in Marketing (HEC Paris). He has authored articles for various publications and is the author of market research reports on topics such as the microalgae market, the European contract biomanufacturing market, cancer cytostatic compounds, Alzheimer’s disease and private equity “the business of building business”.

Catherine Sirven

Catherine Sirven is a leader in digital transformation and an advocate for open and digital innovation within the agricultural sector. With a background in molecular biology, Catherine has led projects and teams in plant health research, specializing in bioinformatics and plant biotechnology. Her pivotal role in initiating research projects to identify the activities and mode of action of molecules, bacterial extracts, peptides, and small RNAs against plant diseases has been widely recognized.

As a molecular biologist, Catherine has contributed significantly to the field, including the publication of articles on topics such as fungicide resistance and soybean rust genome sequencing. She also serves as the vice president of the Elixir industrial advisory committee for European bioinformatics and has actively participated in and moderated conferences focused on open innovation in the agritech sector.

Catherine is renowned for her commitment to promoting sustainable innovation through a diversity mindset. Her unique approach seamlessly integrates advanced digital strategies with a deep appreciation for diverse viewpoints, reflecting her belief that true innovation thrives when a multitude of perspectives are embraced. Her leadership, vision, and dedication to digital transformation and innovation have played a key role in fostering the emergence of “augmented scientists” who incorporate artificial intelligence into their research processes in chemistry and biology.

Philippe Méresse, Ph.D.

Trained as an engineer and doctor in organic chemistry, I held several positions in the La Dargoire research center in chemistry functions or supporting the activities of researchers (structural analysis, robotics, logistics, IT, etc.). After a stint at headquarters, particularly in HR project management functions, I returned to the research center to implement the LifeHub Lyon, for which I am today responsible, particularly for its dialogue activity around agriculture and crop protection.
